Q&A with Taylor
What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
I loved the show Rugrats growing up as a child. I also enjoy watching movies with my boys. We really enjoy the new Lion King and we always get a good laugh at Finding Nemo.
What is your favorite children's book and why?
As a child I always loved the story of Charlotte's Web. I felt this story taught the lesson of friendship, kindness and tolerance.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite toy as a child were my baby dolls and doctors kit. My grandmother joked from an early age that I was going to end up working working in health care taking care of 'babies.'
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My greatest inspirations are my parents. They both were successful entrepreneurs at a young age and instilled the value of hard work, honesty and dedication into my brother and I. They have continued to be such an important part of my life to do this day.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my 3 boys who are very active in soccer. We also enjoy boating and fishing.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I practiced as a nurse in the Pediatric ICU at Arnold Palmer hospital. The experience at Arnold Palmer molded me into the provider I am today. The patients and families I cared for inspired me to want to work further my career into primary care. My goal is to help educate families and hopefully make a difference on preventable events that could lead to inpatient hospitalizations.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I truly enjoy caring for patients and their families. I spend a lot of time with my patients and their families and believe that education is very important in all stages of life. Our families feel very supported and welcome in our office.
